Ok so I just bought the droid razr maxx from verizons online store today. It was an upgrade so I figured to receive the best thing now. So my mom gets a discount because shes a nurse so when I look the phone it said 249.99. When I added it to the cart it said it wasn't eligible for the discount and went back to 299.99. THEN, before the order was finished there was a discount that said "Discount - Customer Eligible" for $100!!! Where did this 100 arrive from? I know the original is running for 199.99 but the receipt says 199.99 for the Maxx so I didn't order the wrong one.

t gives of course better discounts than any computer shops but I want to confirm whether online shopping is not risky. Resolved Question: I have just handed in my notice... hand I done the right thing?

I was working for a male orientated office until today. A computer company. The manager called me in a meeting and hinted that things were not working out and the only reason why he did not let me go there and then was because he liked me as a person. I do the accounts/admin trainee PA tasks for him. I will ask him to sign cheques and he will just forget about them, ignore them, then I have to deal with the suppliers. Suppliers then put the account on hold- he goes mad and THROWS THINGS, SWEARS and does not hear to other peoples explanations... he likes to blame other people. He asked me to ask every the employers about a staff night out what activities they wanted to do... I emailed everyone 3 weeks ago because I did not have time to walk around taking notes- I had invoices to put on the system, payments to enter, bank and credit card statements to reconcile. He went mad at me asking why it is taking so long to receive answers, I advised it was not my fault people dont receive back to me! I also told him not to yell at me. There are people there that do not talk english and they are writing and signing cheques on behalf of the company that they should not be! Colleagues swear and have unprofessional banter with suppliers. I receive the suppliers go mad at me when payment is delayed, so the MD wants me to lie to suppliers. The company has very bad press online, people advising others not to store there because they provide needy customer service. I will not name the company! But they offer discount pieces of equipment, but instead, I went to a flagship reputable computer company - PC WORLD... I refuse to line my managers pockets! The MD wants me to be a PA to him, but I will follow up on things he wants me to do, i.e store around for services and he does not follow up on what I recommend- so I have wasted my time. He even FALLS ASLEEP and snores at his desk, has tantrums like a child, show off with his money/company money. Because my manager hinted that he wanted to let me go, we left the meeting room and I thought that I am not glad. I wanted to reduce my hours thinking I would be happier, but I do not think it will solve the matter.. I will still be around this horrible manager and unprofessional colleagues- for less hours ( usual hours 9.30-6.30pm! Mon-Fri) I would not receive maternity leave ( I do not want kids, but I asked a hypothetical answer because it was a male dominated company) The manager begrudged me going for a pap smear/smear test for the afternoon ( I asked for 1/2 day holiday) asking "Do you really need a 1/2 day for that?) So, do you think I have done the right thing? Would you want to work for someone like this?

I purchased an item online at a heavily discounted price as was advertised. The money was taken from my account and a confirmation of my purchase was emailed to me. About a week later I received another email stating that the price was incorrectly displayed and the website would not honor the deal but offered me £100 off the corrected price instead. I have recently been contacted by a company offering me a vacation to both florida and las vegas for super discounted prices. There is nothing online about this scam yet but I am pretty sure it is. Voting Question: Universal Orlando...should we get a 4-day base or 4-day park-to-park ticket?

Hi. My parents and I will be visiting Orlando in April for 8 nights although we'll only be visiting Universal Studios for 4 days. We're not going to Sea World, Disney or other parks there because our budget is a bit +/- $450 total. My parents both work for a company that sells nationwide theme park tickets for very cheap price if bought in their employee discount online store. One is U.S. Orlando tickets. There's a base ticket price going for $135.99 each for 4 days (buy 3 receive 1 free) and a park-to-park for $144.99 (buy 2 receive 2 free). For the base ticket multiplied by 3 plus tax is $441 but the park-to-park one's total is $467. The $26 difference doesn't seem a lot I know but would we actually need a park-to-park one? The only advantage is that since I adore Harry Potter, it would be nice to visit it 4 times rather than 2 days if we receive the base ticket and assuming my parents would want to spend the other 2 days on the other side. However, the downside is...a lot more walking! What do you think?

Resolved Question: I REALLY need help with my husband.?

My husband and I used to be so great together. Even our pastor told us she'd NEVER seen a more compatible couple. After our twins were born (now 1 1/2 years) the financial burden ahas really taken a toll. He is working full time and taking two college classes. He also has depression but we cannot afford the medication and do not qualify for discounts on the medication. So, he is unmedicated. I stay at home with our twins but have also started working part-time online. I got the job to try to relieve some of the burden from him financially. I'm seriously getting 4 to 5 1/2 hours of snooze per night, every night. I do every of the housework, every of the childcare (keep one diaper change per night) and now working as well. Anyway, my husband over the last few months has started to blow-up and scream at me constantly, over nothing. It seems like everything I say he interperates as me being disrespectful and unloving. Seriously. I'll tell him for the 10 billionth time to pick his dirty underwear PILE off of the bedroom floor and he will scream at ME over the way I told him to pick it up. Seriously. It's getting to the point, I don't even want to talk to him at every. He can't constantly scream at me for ridiculous nonsense every the time. Yeah, he has depression, I receive it (I used to have depression for 10 years, not anymore) but that doesn't mean you can ruin other people's lives. I can't talk to him about it. I've been attempting to for months, and he always just starts screaming at me. I try to take the blame so he doesn't feel attacked, but he still says I am blaming him for everything. I don't know what to do. Please help me :'( I encourage him to go out with friends when he wants to. Unfortunately we can't go on "dates" because we have nobody to babysit. Instead, I have been waking up early to spend time with him before he leaves for work, and also we will stay up tardy on weekends to spend together. He refuses to go to counseling. I don't know why people are focusing on the underwear thing. It is just a quick example. I don't like touching other people's dirty underwear that he has been farting in every day. My husband also gets between 8 - 10 hours of snooze every single night, and that is fine with me if it would make him glad, but it still doesn't

So I was booking a travel package with Hot wire and when I went to check out, it said there was an mistake and to try again. I redid everything and at checkout once again it said mistake, try again. So I thought maybe there was something wrong with the flight I booked (not enough spots) so I tried a different flight and time and the same thing happened. I thought maybe there was something with my bank account, so I check online and saw they charged me THREE TIMES FOR every THE FAILED ATTEMPTS. I immediately called and they said they would return the morning the next day and to book again. Its been almost three days and the money still isn't in my account and my bank said they haven't received or heard anything from them. Tried to call Hot wire just now and they are "below maintenance" and can't tug up any info until that is done. Shouldn't I receive a free upgrade, discount, or something? Since the corporate funding that supports public television, where most of the visual arts programs appear, is now being threatened with severe cuts, we can expect that attendance at our city’s art museums will also start to decrease. Thus some of the city’s funds for supporting the arts should be reallocated to public television.” Discuss how well reasoned... etc. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Compare to 5 years ago, 15% more residents said they watched TV programs regarding visual arts. In same 5 year period, the number of visitors at city’s art museums has also increased by 15%. Now, one of the visual art-endorsing public television is facing a severe clip and our city believes that allocating more of the city’s fund should go to support a visual arts program in order to prevent a decrease in the number of visitors going to art museums. The main flaw of the argument lies in a belief that TV sponsorship has a substantial effect in drawing considerable number of museums visitors than other sources such as online or newspaper. The author implies that 1% increase in visual arts related program in TV results in 1% increase in the number of museum goers by giving 15% increase example. What we really need to consider however, is to look what sources contributed people to visit museums and how significant is each source. For example, if we look at museum visitors, only 10% might have looked at TV program and decided to visit museums, while 90% saw an online or a newspaper and decided to visit museums. We first need to look what percent of museum goers are strictly from the TV source, before making any assumptions regarding the influence of TV program on these museum visitors. After deciding how influential the TV is in terms of sourcing museum visits, we then need to look what part of TV program is mainly responsible for drawing people to museum. Is it the visual arts programs, or other parts of TV channel like visual arts commercials? Corporate funding sponsored visual arts programs, but if the main source of the TV was an advertisement, then allocating city’s funds for another public TV program that supports visual arts is meaningless. Instead, the city should focus on any channel, regardless of a public or a private, that mainly specializes in commercial, particularly visual arts commercial. To effectively capture the art museum visitors’ trend and how TV program might fit will not be the best idea if the majority of the visitors were drawn by non-TV sources. Sure 15% of residents saw more TV programs related to visual arts, but might have never gone to museums if the major 50% discount was placed through online in last 5 years. We need to know which source actually contributed to the 15% increase in the number of visitors and find ways to improve in that sector to look continuous growth in the number of museum goers.

Resolved Question: backordered goods being cancled by the merchandize?

I ordered something online from a merchant with a discounted price - 50%, and received an order confirmation with a charge from my credit card. The order status is "backordered" and with an "expected" date. But yesterday I received an email saying this order has been canceled, and I checked their web site, and found that the item is still available to order, but without the 50% discount - it looks like the merchant wouldn't sell it to me with 50% discount. The customer service told me "Our supplier was not able to fill the demand for this item and had to cancel the shipment. This resulted in us having to cancel your order, as well as any other orders for this merchandise.", and will return the amount to my credit card. What is "backordered" means? Is it legal for the merchart to do this to me? thanks
